What is a Licensed Esthetician?
A licensed esthetician is a skin care professional who has graduated from a state licensing training program and has passed both written and practical exams of the State Board. Estheticians also take many post-graduate, continuing education classes to stay up to date with the latest developments of skin care treatments. Some of the treatments that fall under an estheticians scope of practice are: facials, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, skin analysis, makeup application, full body waxing and body treatments.

Who should have facials and why?
Everyone, no matter age or gender, should have regular facials. If you want your skin to look its best you have to take care of it. A good customized facial does for your skin what a month of good exercise and nutrition does for your body. Through deep cleansing, exfoliation, stimulating circulation and use of professional strength products, your esthetician can improve your skin in a single session. Your esthetician has techniques experience, products and equipment that cannot be replicated at home.
